Supplications Recited in Prayer
O Allah, You are absolutely pure, and I praise You. Blessed is Your Name, exalted is Your Majesty, and there is no ruler or deity besides You.
There is no god except Allah.
There is no god except Allah.
There is no god except Allah.
Allah is the Greatest—supremely Great.
Allah is the Greatest—supremely Great.
Allah is the Greatest—supremely Great.
(Narrated by Abū Dāwūd, ḥadith no. 775; authenticated by Aḥmad Shākir in his notes on al-Tirmidhī; Sunan al-Tirmidhī, ḥadith nos. 240 / 242; Ṣaḥīḥ Ibn Khuzaymah, ḥadith no. 467)
I seek refuge with Allah—the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing—from Satan, the accursed: from his madness, from his arrogance, and from his whisperings and poetic incitements.
(Narrated by Abū Dāwūd, ḥadith no. 775; authenticated by Aḥmad Muḥammad Shākir in his notes on al-Tirmidhī; Sunan al-Tirmidhī, ḥadith nos. 240 / 242; Ṣaḥīḥ Ibn Khuzaymah, ḥadith no. 467)
Glory be to my Lord, the Most Magnificent.
(Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, ḥadith nos. 762 / 795; Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, ḥadith nos. 476 / 1067 and 477 / 1071)
Allah hears the one who praises Him.
O Allah, our Lord, all praise belongs to You—praise that fills the heavens, fills the earth, and fills whatever You will beyond that. You are worthy of all praise and glory. The truest words ever spoken by a servant are these, and all of us are Your servants. O Allah, no one can withhold what You grant, and no one can grant what You withhold, and no person of status or wealth can benefit from his standing before You.
(Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, narrated by Ḥudhayfah رضي الله عنه, ḥadith no. 772 / 1814; Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, narrated by Ibn ʿAbbās رضي الله عنه, vol. 1, p. 199, ḥadith no. 479 / 1074)
O Allah, our Lord, You are absolutely pure, and I praise You.
O Allah, forgive me.
(Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, ḥadith nos. 784 / 817;
Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, narrated by ʿĀʾishah al-Ṣiddīqah رضي الله عنها, ḥadith no. 484 / 1085;
Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, narrated by Ibn ʿAbbās رضي الله عنه, vol. 1, p. 199, ḥadith no. 479 / 1074)
O Allah, forgive me; have mercy on me; set my affairs right; grant me well-being; guide me; provide for me; and raise me in rank.
(Narrated by Abū Dāwūd, ḥadith no. 850; al-Tirmidhī, ḥadith nos. 283 / 284; Ibn Mājah, ḥadith no. 898; al-Ḥākim, ḥadith nos. 964 / 978 and 1004 / 1017; its chain is authentic.
al-Mustadrak, vol. 1, pp. 262, 271)
All acts of worship, all prayers, and all pure words belong to Allah.
Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
Peace be upon us and upon all the righteous servants of Allah.
I bear witness that there is no ruler or deity except Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad ﷺ is His servant and His Messenger.
(Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, ḥadith nos. 797 / 831; Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, narrated by Ibn Masʿūd رضي الله عنه, ḥadith no. 402 / 897)
The best of all speech is the speech of Allah, and the best of all guidance is the guidance of Muhammad ﷺ.
(al-Nasāʾī, narrated by Jābir رضي الله عنه, ḥadith nos. 1311 / 1312; its chain is authentic)
O Allah, send Your mercy upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, just as You sent Your mercy upon Abraham and upon the family of Abraham. Indeed, You are Most Praiseworthy, Most Glorious.
O Allah, send Your blessings upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, just as You sent blessings upon Abraham and upon the family of Abraham. Indeed, You are Most Praiseworthy, Most Glorious.

O Allah, I seek refuge with You from the punishment of Hell, from the punishment of the grave, from the trials of life and death, and from the evil of the trial of the False Messiah (al-Dajjāl).
(Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, narrated by Abū Hurayrah رضي الله عنه, ḥadith no. 588 / 1324)
