Al-Filسُوۡرَةُ الفِیل
بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
﴾.﴿
بے حد مہربان اور بہت رحم کرنے والے اللہ کے نام کے ساتھ
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.
أَلَمۡ تَرَ كَيۡفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِأَصۡحَٰبِ ٱلۡفِيلِ
﴾۱﴿
(اے رسول) کیا آپ نے نہیں دیکھا کہ آپ کے ربّ نے ہاتھی والوں کے ساتھ کیا کِیا
(O Messenger) have you not seen how your Lord dealt with the People of the Elephant? [The elephant army which came from Yemen under the command of Abrahah Al-Ashram intending to destroy the Ka'bah at Makkah].
أَلَمۡ يَجۡعَلۡ كَيۡدَهُمۡ فِي تَضۡلِيلٖ
﴾۲﴿
کیا اُس نے ان کی تدبیر کو ناکام نہیں کر دیا
Did He not make their plan go astray?
وَأَرۡسَلَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ طَيۡرًا أَبَابِيلَ
﴾۳﴿
اُس نے ان پر جھنڈ کے جھنڈ پرند بھیج دیے
And sent upon them birds, in flocks,
تَرۡمِيهِم بِحِجَارَةٖ مِّن سِجِّيلٖ
﴾۴﴿
جنھوں نے ان پر سنگ گل کے سنگ ریزے برسائے
Striking them with stones of baked clay.
فَجَعَلَهُمۡ كَعَصۡفٖ مَّأۡكُولِۭ
﴾۵﴿
پھر انھیں ایسا کر دیا جیسا کھایا ہوا بھوسا
And made them like eaten up straw.
