At-Takathurسُوۡرَةُ التّکاثُر
بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
﴾.﴿
بے حد مہربان اور بہت رحم کرنے والے اللہ کے نام کے ساتھ
In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent and the most Merciful.
أَلۡهَىٰكُمُ ٱلتَّكَاثُرُ
﴾۱﴿
مال میں ایک دوسرے سے بڑھ جانے کی حِرص نے تمھیں (اللہ کے احکام سے) غافل کر دیا
The mutual competition in greed of increase in wealth diverted you ( from the commandments of Allah ),
حَتَّىٰ زُرۡتُمُ ٱلۡمَقَابِرَ
﴾۲﴿
(اور تم اسی غفلت میں رہے) یہاں تک کہ قبروں میں جا پہنچے
(and you remain distracted) until you enter the graves.
كَلَّا سَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُونَ
﴾۳﴿
(تمھاری یہ غفلت) ہرگز (تمھارے لیے فائدہ مند) نہیں (ہو گی) عنقریب تمھیں (اس غفلت کا انجام) معلوم ہو جائے گا
Nay! (This negligence and distraction of yours will not benefit you) You shall soon come to know! ( the consequence of this negligence and distraction )
ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُونَ
﴾۴﴿
پھر (سن لو تمھاری یہ غفلت) ہرگز (تمھارے لیے فائدہ مند) نہیں (ہو گی) تمھیں عنقریب (اس غفلت کا انجام) معلوم ہو جائے گا
(Listen) again, Nay! (This negligence of yours will not benefit you) You shall soon come to know! ( the consequence of this negligence and distraction )
كَلَّا لَوۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ عِلۡمَ ٱلۡيَقِينِ
﴾۵﴿
(تمھاری خوش فہمیاں) ہرگز (تمھارے کام) نہیں (آئیں گی) اگر تمھیں اس کا یقینی علم ہوتا (تو تم کبھی غفلت نہ برتتے)
Nay! ( Your wishful thinking will not benefit you ) If you knew with a sure knowledge ( then you would never have remained so negligent or distracted )
لَتَرَوُنَّ ٱلۡجَحِيمَ
﴾۶﴿
تم (اپنی غفلت کی سزا میں) ضرور دوزخ کو دیکھو گے
Verily (that seeing of yours will be believing), You shall see (the punishment of your negligence i.e.) the Hell!
ثُمَّ لَتَرَوُنَّهَا عَيۡنَ ٱلۡيَقِينِ
﴾۷﴿
پھر (سن لو) تم ضرور اسے دیکھو گے (تمھارا وہ دیکھنا) یقینی دیکھنا (ہو گا، کسی قسم کا شبہ نہیں ہو گا)
And (listen) again , you shall certainty see it (and that seeing of yours will be with ) sight of certainty! (there will be no doubt in it)
ثُمَّ لَتُسۡـَٔلُنَّ يَوۡمَئِذٍ عَنِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ
﴾۸﴿
پھر اس دن تم سے نعمتوں کے بارے میں پوچھا جائے گا! (کہ تم نے کہاں تک ان کا شکر ادا کیا)
Then, on that Day, you shall be asked about the blessings (i.e. to what extent you were grateful for them )!
